The spring heat is almost here! It is time to have your air conditioning system inspect by Four Seasons Air Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration to make sure it is in working condition.
Make Sure Your Condensate Drain Lines are Clear.
It is important to check to be sure the drain lines from your indoor unit to outside are clear and draining properly.
Have your Refrigerant Levels Checked.
When freon levels are too low it can cause damage to components of the HVAC system. The low levels of refrigerant might be caused by a leak that needs to be found and fixed. Ignoring this could lead to much bigger problems and your AC possibly not working at all.
Check Your Air Filters
It is important to change your air filters every 30 days to prevent any debris from collecting on the indoor coil. If coils are dirty, the HVAC system will not cool properly.
Check Your Ducts for Wear and Tear
First check that all ducts that you can see are intact. Signs of small tears or wear can be the reason why the ducts are unable to transport cool air where it needs to go. This will make parts of your home feel warm and will make your cooling system work harder to compensate. It is important to find and fix the problem to avoid an increase in your electric bill.
If you’re still having problems after following these tips, make sure to call the team at Four Season Air Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration. We are here to help Fort Walton Beach and the surrounding areas with all your heating and cooling needs.
